Now boys lock lips After girls, in Shaitan

TV actor Shiv Pandit was never prepared for his first on-screen kiss that he shared with a man in Anurag Kashyap’s Shaitan. He says if he were informed, he would have refused the role. “A lot of scenes were incorporated at the last minute,” he recalls, adding that the ‘truth-and-dare’ game was suddenly introduced during a scene. “We were just following our director Bejoy Nambiar’s instructions and playing along. If I had been informed, it would have stayed in my mind. Sudden incorporations like this kiss have made the film edgier.”

Fortunately, Kalki Koechlin and Kirti Kulhari’s kissing scene had set the mood for Shiv. “Out of nowhere, I was asked to kiss Neil. I did it and Bejoy called ‘Cut!’ It was over within seconds,” he adds, admitting that he instantly ran to the washroom to gargle and clean his mouth. “That took me a few minutes.”

When asked, the Bollywood debutant says that his friends and family have stood by him, without questioning or teasing him.

“Thankfully, the response so far has been great from family and friends. But I must clear that this scene doesn’t reflect my personal opinion of same-sex relationships,” says Shiv, who’s also looking forward to his Tamil debut, Neelai, produced by V Ravichandran, the producer of Kamal Haasan’s Dashavataram.

Now Hrithik to Act in Triple roles in 'Krrish3'

Rajnikanth isn't the only one who can pull off three roles in one film....the Superstar made news by annoucing he 3roles act in Raana,,,....

Now Bollywood's very own Hrithik Roshan in his home banner as revealed Roshan will play three characters in Krrish 3 -- father, son and grandson. And if he had his way, Roshan would have played villain too. But his father, director Rakesh Roshan, was keen that Vivek Oberoi play the bad guy.

Sources say the duo had massive arguments over the matter. Speaking on the casting, Rakesh Roshan said, "It was not possible for Hrithik to play the antagonist. He is already playing three roles. I had Vivek in mind for the part right from the start. He has the right physique and body language for it."

"Suresh (Vivek Oberoi's father) and I have been friends for years. I wanted to work with Vivek for a long time. When the role of the antagonist in Krrish 3 came up, I instinctively knew Vivek was right for it."

The producer-director laughs off any suggestion that Oberoi would have to work on his physique for the part. "Both Hrithik and Vivek have the perfect physique. There is nothing more they can do to better it. They just need to start shooting."

Krrish 3 will hit the floor in November and Rakesh will start location hunting soon. "Most of the film will be shot in Mumbai," he clarified. Will Krrish 3 have the same special effects as the previous film, given that Shah Rukh Khan's Ra.One -- touted to be the film to watch out for -- is releasing?
"We are not really anxious about the special-effects in other films. We are just happy to be doing what is right for our film. If there are three cars that must be blown up, we won't blow up six just because it looks better."

Haunted 3D - Movie Review

The ApunKaChoice movie review of Haunted - 3D. Vikram Bhatt’s latest film Haunted - 3d is a full-on paisa vasool entertainer. How? If you are the faint of heart and get spooked by as much as the sound of your own steps, you will doubtlessly break cold sweat at the scares that Haunted presents in 3D visuals and stereoscopic sounds. If not, you will laugh yourself silly at the Ramsay-inspired antics the film adopts to give you the heebie-jeebies.

Creaky doors, falling chandeliers, rogue spirits wafting through the desolate mansion, shrieks of a tormented girl, blood-stained hands appearing out of nowhere, and more such gimmicks are aplenty in this strange story of a female spirit that’s been raped by the spirit of her dead music teacher.

Mahakshay Chakraborty (yes, Mimoh rechristened) plays Rehan, an MBA from Stanford. He comes to Himachal to take care of an old mansion called Glen Manor, where, as a lot of people in the vicinity claim, lives a ghost. As Rehan tiptoes through the uninhabited mansion, he sees signs and hears sounds of someone. Then he chances upon an old letter in a book. The letter reveals the backstory.

80 years ago, in the same mansion a music teacher (Arif Zakaria) made indecent advances towards his pretty student Meera (Tia Bajpai). When she resisted and he persisted, she killed him. Good riddance? Not really! Because the ghost or spirit of the dead teacher comes back and rapes the girl for many days before she eventually commits suicide.

Now, Rehan could easily skirt this bhoot-pret ka chakkar but sooner rather than later he’s involved. He falls in love with Meera. And he wants to wrest her free from the evil spirit of the teacher, even if it requires going back in the past to undo certain things.

Now, the end of the story can easily be guessed but it’s also a given that the evil spirit will raise the stakes against its annihilators. So we have the possessed women flying around like winged zombies, lots of ear-splitting screeches, and our broad-framed hero saved from death by the skin of his teeth. It’s all the masala a bhutiya film can cram in to regale you.

Mahakshay looks better than the Mimoh of the Jimmy disaster, but he still has a long way to go before proving that there’s more to him than dancing skills and a loaded surname. Tia Bajpai does leave an impression in a few scenes while Arif Zakaria is wasted.

As for 3D, don’t expect Avatar like effects, but there are indeed a few scenes where the visual depth created in three dimensions lends a great deal to the film. The sound work is also darn good.

All in all, Haunted 3D is a film that has its share of scares. But if you have binged on the Japanese brand of horror, Haunted has a snowball’s chance in hell to give you the chill.

Salman's film faces the fire - times news

Salman Khan
Salman Khan
Salman Khan is angry. And this time, not with anybody from the film industry. A music channel has been running 'trade analysis' shows, questioning the market viability of his next film Ready costarring Asin.

The trade analysis report being telecast on the channel raises questions like 'Will Ready meet the expectations?' and 'Has the price of the film been exaggerated to earn more profits?' among others.

The report also underlines the fact that the producer of Ready, Bhushan Kumar's track record has not been too great in the recent past, taking examples like Karzzz, Kajra Re and Patiala House. The channel also mentions Salman and Asin's last film London Dreams that crashed at the box-office.

Bhushan's company T-Series strongly believes that the channel telecasting this trade analysis has engineered this exercise. The channel in question had to pay a huge amount of money to T-Series last year for copyright infringement.

Ajay Kapoor, Director T-Series said, "We had taken this channel to Court and they had to pay us a fine. Despite that they continued to flout rules, we again took legal action against them, the matter is freshly coming up for a hearing soon."

"We have stopped giving them software of all our songs. It's their loss," he added.

Last heard, T-Series had written to the Film & TV Producers Guild of India Limited complaining against the channel. In turn, the Business Head of the channel, Anurag Bedi, sent his reply to the Guild saying that his channel has not flouted the Copyright Act.

When contacted, Bedi told Mumbai Mirror, "Pray, why is Bhushan upset if he has already sold Ready? The distributors who have bought the film should be worried. Whatever we have stated in our trade analysis of Ready is purely factual.

T-Series has not done well as a producer on the films which we have mentioned, how can that be disputed when we are also showing the facts and figures supporting our report?"

Added Bedi, "We have not flouted any Copyright Act. T-Series wanted more, but as per the Court's order last year, we are still paying them the same money as before."

Caught between the two fighting bodies, the lead actor of the film, Salman Khan is mighty miffed. According to Kapoor, "Bhai (as Salman is fondly called in the industry) is upset. Usko pata hai kya ho raha hai. This whole negativity is really not done.

Ready is releasing on June 3. How can anybody cast doubts over its success three months before its release? Does it make any sense?"

Action Replay Movie Review

Logic takes a flight from Action Replay the moment Vipul Shah brings in the time machine. And from then on, it's mostly an amorphous cloud of insanity that grows foggier and foggier as the film progresses. Indeed, going to Action Replay looking for intelligence and discerning, sensitive cinema is like going to Little Italy for Chinese food - it's the wrong genre.

The film's idea of '70s fluorescence, however, goes straight for the kill. The result is far from a true-to-life depiction of retro-ness in Mumbai: it is an indulgence in the '70s as Bollywood sees them through the eyes of Bollywood, including all things coloured bright and silly, women dressed in Manish-Malhotra-esque '70s disco wear, and characters that belong to extremities of the human-nature spectrum.

So Bunty (Aditya Roy Kapoor) is the son of a lousy marriage, and his parents Kishen (Akshay Kumar) and Mala (Aishwarya Rai) can't tolerate each other. Bunty's girlfriend's grandfather (Randhir Kapoor) has a time machine, which Bunty uses to go back to the past to get his parents to fall in love with each other.

The gags and Akshay Kumar are one thing about Action Replay, and the eclipsing of the screen by Aishwarya Rai is another. Between these elements, the film ends up being immensely watchable and campy, despite being peculiarly kitschy.

Akshay Kumar begins by being loud, being the one half of the cacophonic couple that Kishen and Mala are, and the movie threatens to degrade into a Priyadarshan orgy of clamour. Characterizations are black and white, too, and are far from realistic. However, the comedy gets cuter as the film progresses, and the jokes aren't too tiresome.

Performances are skilled, and the stars give their all to the proceedings despite seeming slightly out of place in the broad-stroked roles that they are given (Kishen Kumar is a spineless weakling, and Mala is a silly, arrogant brat who loves being mean to weaklings). Both Kumar and Rai make this a bubblegum fest. Aditya Roy Kapoor is a good find, and Rannvijay Singh, though stuck in a bad wig, is pretty good as the villain. Rajpal, Yadav, Om Puri and Kirron Kher have their moments.

Pritam comes up with some disappointingly bizarre music, except for the zor ka jhatka song, and a romantic number towards the end. During one particularly airheaded “music" competition between the hero and the villain, there's a medley of songs and sounds that are barely a blast from the past, and contain some bad '00s pop.

The visuals are suitably jazzy, and are part of the reason this film is easy on the senses. The idea is, like we said, to keep it low on fuss and high on splashing the colour and the mood all over.

Watch Action Replay knowing what you're looking for, and it might be an easy way to lighten the weekend.

Even the film critics would agree that Golmaal 3 is the complete package to satisfy your entertainment quotient. This comedy flick is a part of Rohit Shetty’s trilogy that has hit the theaters, this Diwali and has taken the masses in its stride from the very first word go. The best thing about Golmaal 3 is that the audiences of every age group can enjoy this movie. This movie has been accepted very well by the audiences who responded positively to its concept.

Rakta Charitra Movie Review

Suggestions
Can watch again - No
Good for kids - No
Good for dates - No
Wait to rent it - Yes

Although we fully recognize the ability of Ram Gopal Varma to translate the real crime, life in a drama, and the smoothness of his taste for the presentation, his contempt for the sun and is worrying. In Rakta Charitra, the enfant terrible of Indian cinema might just be the most enduring of his research to describe the worst for man. Factionism basis of the complaint in Anantapur Paritala Ravi rise to power, the film is essentially a dissection of - not a criminal, not a ;system; - a dark, dark, dark world. We;re sure that;s how it actually is. We believe if we say it is even worse. All we have to say that the entire two hours of violent porn is probably not the best way to talk about all this. Rakta Charitra working well for prelude to hope is a real movie, Rakta Charitra 2, due out in a few weeks. As in the film, even if it is for those who do not flinch easily. In fact, those who do not flinch at all.
Vivek Oberoi plays Pratap, established on the basis of Paritala Ravi. Pratap is an ambitious young man trained in the city who are forced to go home to his city plagued faction after his father was brutally murdered in a political conspiracy unbalanced. Pratap revenge begins after he loses even his brother (Sushant Singh) for gang warfare after murdering his father. He was soon in total war with the dastardly Reddy Bokka (Abhimanyu Singh). Bokka Reddy is a goon who is manic evil, not to stop at nothing to inflict suffering on the poor. Yes, RGV, you get the point - you;re really able to film that feels like a wedding scene Karan Johar (quote your own words) unspeakable. The injured party, headed by Pratap, are now screaming bloody revenge against the atrocities Bokka Reddy;s. So yesterday Sivaji Rao (Shatrughan Sinha), the superstar has now launched a political party and who understands what a powerful ally Pratap can be in the region.
The movie is apparently trying to put things in perspective and fill in the black blacker than they are to make the best look in shades of gray. But excess gore obscures the rest of your content in the film - are interesting moments, but too few and far between. There;s just when you start to enjoy it, thumbnails deadpan laugh political arena of the PA at the time - with the entry of Sivaji - it;s beginning to end. The reason for our audience is interested in the film because of the knowledge of all the drama. The theater is that you get less, and you wish the film had balanced its priorities better. Brilliant casting aid the cause of dry humor, sometimes thrown into Vivek Oberoi looks spicy and allows you interested in life's journey Pratap. Kota and Tanikella are in roles they could sleep-walk through.
Abhimanyu Singh is likely to be seen in an infinite abundance of Telugu villain roles now. Shatrughan Sinha should have been presented earlier, and he brings in a large puzzle to a role that is really on the periphery of history. And for those waiting for a mention of Surya, you will need to wait for Part 2 of the film - there;s a teaser of his character worrying about time. The film has a look that;s deliberately mold a plus. Threat and music adds to the ambiance. See, if Gore is your current mood, but if you;re curious about what really happened in Anantapur, so let us wait for someone to write a book.
