Bollywood Fighting for rights of the '100% love' film

When the South Remake version is ;very popular; menu of the kitchen in Bollywood directors increasingly are turning to the South Indian super-hits. Ghajini (Ghajini), Wanted (Pokiri), and Ready (ready) is a real money churners Bollywood is selling tickets in the last two years.

Joining the trend of Re-make films, not one but four producer Ronnie Screwvala, Vashu Bhagnani, Shatrughan Sinha and David Dhawan-are now vying for the rights for the last super Telugu flick '100% Love'. Since the super hit was directed by Sukumar all producers want to preserve the flavor intact and is ready to sign the rights to their version.

While Vashu Bhagnani and Shatrughan Sinha want their kids, Jackky and Luv respectively, to star in the film, Ronnie and David Dhawan, currently, are only focusing on getting the rights in their hands. Jackky's recent F.A.L.T.U was well received by the audience, but for Luv his only, fiasco Sadiyaan: Boundaries Divide... Love Unites didn't even provide him with a platform to display his potential. So the parents are keeping their fingers crossed, not only to get the rights of the film in place, but also to ensure Sukumar's touch to the remake.

A source says, "Poonam Sinha, who is ready to re-launch Luv, has already met the director for the rights of 100% Love. Vashu Bhagnani is willing to get both the rights and the director for his version.

Ronnie Screwvala has seen the film and wants to speak to Sukumar and David Dhawan too is in talks with the director. What needs to be seen is who emerges as the winner."

Saathiya (Alai Payuthey), Judwa (Hello Brother), Shakti (Anthahpuram), Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein (Minnale), Tere Naam (Sethu) show that the trend of remaking South films into Hindi has existed for a very long time now. All these films went on to become even bigger hits in Bollywood.

It's tough to predict whether the remake of this film will work or not. What we are looking for is who among the four gives their 100 % to impress the director Sukumar and get away with the rights of 100% Love.

Geeta Art's will be suing PVR Cinemas, the Gurgaon branch

Allu Aravind of Geeta Arts has said that he will be suing PVR Cinemas, the Gurgaon branch for a sum of Rs 5 crore for enabling the piracy of Geeta Art's Telugu film '100% Love' that stars Naga Chaitanya and Tamannah in the lead roles.

Even though the movie is a hit one, the news of pirated DVDs circling the market came as a blow to the team of '100% Love.'

Agreed, this has become quite usual these days of pirated DVDs hitting the market within a day of release of the movie, but the producers of '100% Love' chose not to ignore it, their anti-piracy teams confiscated some pirated DVDs and based on the forensic watermark in these copies, they understood that the master copy for this DVD has been shot at Screen 6, in PVR Cinemas, Gurgaon.

Based on this evidence, Geeta Arts have claimed damages from PVR Cinemas, for the latter failing to protect their property and enabling a master copy to be recorded at their theatre, thus causing huge revenue loss for the production company.

The producers said that it is now, through a technology termed 'forensic watermarking' one can identify the source of a pirated DVD as the makers will know which print was given to which theatre, thus understanding where the master copy has been shot!

Interesting isn't it?

Filmmakers and producers can now breathe a sigh of relief as theatres will take more caution against pirated copies being shot in their screens, thus reducing piracy.

Look's like 'forensic watermarking' technology introduced to us through South Indian production company, 'Geeta Arts' is here to stay and will sure save the day for producers all over the country!
