Paramthma is an attempt at a philosophical style Yogaraja director Bhat and characterization of Puneeth Rajakumar Star Power in this film is unique. Puneeth Rajakumar not speak much Yogaraja Bhat Golden Hero "Mungaru Male" star Ganesh. At the same time, it is an exquisite film! It seems that the director intends to say that detachment "joined in life is good." Swami Vivekananda The spread itself in your life. We must learn to lose in life is a very good preparation. But the younger generation never mind losing forever. Bhat Yogaraja has brought serious at all in the role of Puneeth Rajakumar and this is debatable. There are plenty of intelligence and power of this character, no doubt. But we all casual and fun, is not acceptable to all.

Story: 

Story:
The story of Paramathma focus on the philosophy that those who are very close to heart leave us quickly. A section of the society believes this and longevity is cut short by destiny as villain.

Paramathma the protagonist loves Deepa so closely even after quarreling they love each other. It is not long lasting after the delivery of the kid. Deepa is upset even when the child first calls ‘Appa’ (father). She is a strange character and her mood is so oscillating like Paramathma who is an eccentric personality.

In the first half Param (Puneeth Rajakumar) is a gold medal Bachelor of Science but for completing M.Sc he takes six attempts. He does what his heart says and is a master in various field like climbing hills, Mumbai Share market, windmill, carpentry give him comfort and even goes to China to learn Kung Fu to participate in betting fights. The ten years of his life looks very funny for him and he comes home. His father is a heart specialist and according to Jayanth Rao (Ananthnag) ‘Heart is God’. His son Param goes by his heart and so he had named him as ‘Paramathma’.

In the company of Sanvi (Aindrita Ray) as his best friend the emergence of Deepa turns his attention. Deepa is not an easy girl and it requires of lot of struggle for Param to convince her on his intentions. Finally it is only when Deepa faces insult in front of huge gathering she gives for the insult to her grandfather. Deepa close. Daughter of a highly respected family Deepa ask Param to carry her on his behind in the mud race. This is only to insult her grandfather in public.

At this point of time Sanvi gets a doubt that Deepa and Param are in love. It is true to her shock. Param and Deepa marry after lot of self teasing each other. But life is not with full of happiness for Param. Deepa smilingly dies in the sleep.

All these developments Param is explaining Sanvi when she comes to met him after a long time. For the innocence and loyalty in Param she considers him as a man with child heart. Param goes on believing that Deepa has not departed in his life.

Performance:
As a casual and fun loving hero power star Puneeth Rajakumar has done a tremendous work. He has not done this type of role so far in his career but the responsibility could have been brought at least at places to give some injection to lazybones and free loaders in the society. Puneeth Rajakumar on his own has not offered to pecks to heroines so far in his films. He is Paramathma (God) has special strength is it?

Purposefully falling in love does not show responsibility. It only helps the director like Yogaraj Bhat to add a song to the occasion. Puneeth Rajakumar costumes, looks, stunts are a real treat to his fans.

Deepa Sannidhi as an immature character in the film throughout is tolerable. The mood of Deepa changes quite often and Yogaraj Bhat has purposefully brought this kind of character. Aindrita Ray should not cry and so is Rangayana Raghu. Rangayana Raghu is known for funny dialogues and his trump card is fully utilized. Aindrita Ray consoling to herself she looks tragic.

The characters of Ananth Nag, Avinash and Dattatreya are in good standards. All the three have done convincingly. Ramya Barne as silent lover of Paramathma does not get noticed.

Technically:

Two excellent works in this film - songs Harikrsihna V, No.1 music director and Santosh Rai Pathaje expertise in the camera. The camera in particular, Heddhapura upper corners are so sweet. In some parts of songs Pathaje gave his best. V. Harikrishna songs are good, because most of them wanted to adolescents, and words are often used to gather. Ally Gate College ... .. is a fun song, but it should not be taken seriously. Kathallly Karadige ... .. is not responsible for the lines are funny. Paravashanadenu song ... is the most romantic melodious song. The narrative model to give a new look to the public and Yogaraja Bhat studious approach to the movement of the scenes is admirable, even if it is a flashback to the narrative style. Last but not least: Paramathma means omnipotent. This is a great work of the film is good in many places. It's worth watching once, if you're not serious!

STORY: The trials and tribulations of ‘Puttakka’ in retaining her land against all odds of development is the crux of the film subject in ‘Puttakkana High Way’.

Puttakka (Shruthi) is baffled when she learns her land – the only source for livelihood is used by the government for construction of National High Way 108. She has one daughter and in the cultivation land she has buried her husband. Retaining the land and the husband burial place becomes very sentimental issues for Puttakka. She believes in the village Panchayat and accrues money to deviate the national highway not touching her land. She knows that she is caught in the web of double standard people. The huge land owner next to Puttakka in Bisilehalli village gets the compensation and contest for the elections crashes the hopes.

Like a mute spectator Puttakka swallows all her pains. When she comes back after running from pillar to post she finds to her startling information. Her daughter had taken to prostitution.

ANALYSIS: This is a film against to the development of the government. B Suresha as a director wins in explaining the sentiments but he is not convincing.

The director’s responsibility is not to show the incapability of the characters. He cannot just make them go away. When he has told the problem it is his bounded duty to give the solution. In that way B Suresha has miserably failed. The national award committee that has awarded this film as best regional cinema has not looked in to so many aspects it seems.

Development no one can escape. It becomes the law of the land it is inevitable. The government on the other hand is just not swallowing the land. It is giving good compensation to the farmers who lose their land like how it is happening with the Metro rail project.

To the present scenario the director B Suresha offers nothing. He cajoles the character Puttakka by saying he does not have papers that prove ownership of her land. In the days of former chief minister Devaraj Urs – ‘Uluvavanige Bhoomi’ – one who tills the land is the owner – law has been made in Karnataka the director has forgotten.

The most glaring mistake is by telling 2000 kilometers of National High way is undertaken in Karnataka. That is absolutely wrong. Another glaring mistake of this film is the central character going all around for two years with no avenues at her disposal.

How a village woman can go around for two years? Director B Suresha in his flash back technique of narration loses his balance.

This is a film with too many loop holes. Giving an alternative suggestion to those who lose land is what the director should have done. When the developmental projects are on no one can stop the only alternative left is channelizing the affected in the right direction.

B Suresh ‘Puttakkana High Way’ flares up the people mind against development. This is not the right attitude what a director should possess.

In unearthing the sensibilities of the affected director B Suresha is partly successful. The characters he has selected supported him.

Over all the film is striking in bits and pieces!

PERFORMANCE: One expected a tough protest in the character of Shruthi – Puttakka. There is nothing of that sort. For Shruthi this is not a challenging role. It has become very sober. Her usual trump card of oozing out tears is also missing in this film.

The stalwart actor Prakash Raj is given a paltry role. Such a towering actor cannot be used as a ‘Buffoon’. His strength and screen space should coincide. How come an actor like Prakash Raj agreed to accept this kind of sundry role. Prakash Raj thirsting for Puttakka also looks very feeble.

Srinivasa Prabhu, Veena Sunder, Sihikahi Chandru, Achyuthkumar, Satish, Mandya Ramesh and Baby Prakruthi shine in their roles.

TECHNICALITY: The three technical works – HM Ramachandra camera, Hamsalekha Music and Johny Harsha editing are the only convincing works in this film.

Showing the High way, greenery capture and wide angles are superb from HM Ramachandra. In this kind of offbeat film the songs acquiring importance is a delectable point to note. The song Nakkidyake…is naughty. Daari song has superb meaning and explains the whole cinema.

Johny Harsha in the editing has done a competent job.

LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST: A film on High Way with narrow minded thoughts!
