Now Hrithik to Act in Triple roles in 'Krrish3'

Now Bollywood's very own Hrithik Roshan in his home banner as revealed Roshan will play three characters in Krrish 3 -- father, son and grandson. And if he had his way, Roshan would have played villain too. But his father, director Rakesh Roshan, was keen that Vivek Oberoi play the bad guy. 

Sources say the duo had massive arguments over the matter. Speaking on the casting, Rakesh Roshan said, "It was not possible for Hrithik to play the antagonist. He is already playing three roles. I had Vivek in mind for the part right from the start. He has the right physique and body language for it."

"Suresh (Vivek Oberoi's father) and I have been friends for years. I wanted to work with Vivek for a long time. When the role of the antagonist in Krrish 3 came up, I instinctively knew Vivek was right for it."

The producer-director laughs off any suggestion that Oberoi would have to work on his physique for the part. "Both Hrithik and Vivek have the perfect physique. There is nothing more they can do to better it. They just need to start shooting."

Krrish 3 will hit the floor in November and Rakesh will start location hunting soon. "Most of the film will be shot in Mumbai," he clarified. Will Krrish 3 have the same special effects as the previous film, given that Shah Rukh Khan's Ra.One -- touted to be the film to watch out for -- is releasing? 

"We are not really anxious about the special-effects in other films. We are just happy to be doing what is right for our film. If there are three cars that must be blown up, we won't blow up six just because it looks better." 

Akon’s wife to join him on India tour

Mumbai, April 11 (IANS) Popular Senegalese-American singer Akon, due to perform at concerts in Gurgaon and Bangalore April 16 and 17 respectively, will be accompanied by his wife and a crew of 22 people, including three bodyguards.
‘Akon and his family consider India their favourite vacation spot apart from Brazil. In fact, if Akon and his wife can find time from their hectic schedule they plan to visit the Gateway of India and go on Mumbai ‘darshan’ (sight seeing) on an open double decker bus,’ said a source.
‘Akon, who is quite a sports lover and enjoys football in particular, intends to play some football in between his concerts,’ said the source.
The 37-year-old will be provided king size beds and his room will be located away from elevators, ice machines, high traffic areas, and housekeeping room as he prefers a noise-free environment, said the source.
A licensed massage therapist, massage table, massage chair and essential oils will be provided to Akon to beat stress and feel rejuvenated, considering that he will be performing at back to back concerts.
Akon, who is famous for songs like ‘Beautiful’, ‘Lonely’, ‘Right Now’, ‘Dangerous’, ‘I’m So Paid’ and ‘Angel’, has also demanded for a few specific things.
‘While Bryan Adams requested for 100 white towels, Akon has requested for 100 black towels. All meals in dressing rooms will be served in chaffing dishes and covered by clear plastic wrap only. Akon doesn’t like the concept of take away food and prefers his meals served hot,’ said the source.
‘Being a health freak, Akon would require a juicer and blender for juicing and making smoothies. Strictly no pork, Chinese and fast foods will be served to Akon and his touring staff.’
On the days of the performances, the performer will enter the stage through a special curtain and special tactics such as airbursts, quick shot jets and bangs will be used for special effects.
For the percussion solo medley, gas flames in red, yellow and green colours will erupt across the stage at regular intervals.
A ‘waterfall of fire’ will erupt across the stage from the ceiling to give an unimaginable feel to the concert. For the final song ‘Sexy Bitch’, confetti cannons with different coloured confetti, will be fired from the edge of the stage towards the crowd, to create a rainbow effect.
According to sources, Akon will also be considering a few Bollywood tie-ups this year. Apparently, he has been offered to act in a Hindi film after he made headlines with Shahrukh Khan and ‘Ra.One’.
Speaking of collaborations, Akon has worked extensively with Aadesh Srivastava and is considering working with Sunidhi Chauhan. However, nothing is confirmed in this regard, said the source.
The Venky’s Akon Live In Concert is being brought to the country by Netsurf Entertainment and B.M. Group and IVNO Events and Productions, in association with Thrive Entertainment and S. Raj Entertainment. Venky’s, the single largest poultry brand in Asia, is the title sponsor of the two concerts.

Shriya smitten by King Khan - indiaglitz

Guess the number of women charmed by the Baadshah of Bollywood just keeps increasing. On April 8th we saw the grand opening performances of the IPL matches Live from MAC Stadium, Chennai. Despite a number of heart-thumping and glamorous performances, SRK as usual was the show stealer. He came, applause; he spoke to the surprised crowd in Tamil, thunderous applause; the crowd went mad when he shook a leg with Shriya Saran for “Appadi podu…” and “Nakka mukka…”

Shriya seems to have thoroughly enjoyed the little stint she had on stage with SRK. The lanky lass, who is shooting for ‘Winds of Change’ a Deepa Mehta film is based on Salman Rushdie’s popular novel Midnight’s Children. Shriya has revealed that she who is a big fan of the Baadshah has started liking him even more post her jig with him at the IPL inaugural. She described Khan as “a true star who was humble and down to earth.”

The actress is believed to have tweeted that she is thankful for the tons of appreciations pouring in for her performance at the IPL alongside King Khan; well that is not just it - the ‘Kandhasamy’s girl is also wishing to do a role opposite Khan in Bollywood.

Salman's film faces the fire - times news

Salman Khan is angry. And this time, not with anybody from the film industry. A music channel has been running 'trade analysis' shows, questioning the market viability of his next film Ready costarring Asin.

The trade analysis report being telecast on the channel raises questions like 'Will Ready meet the expectations?' and 'Has the price of the film been exaggerated to earn more profits?' among others.

The report also underlines the fact that the producer of Ready, Bhushan Kumar's track record has not been too great in the recent past, taking examples like Karzzz, Kajra Re and Patiala House. The channel also mentions Salman and Asin's last film London Dreams that crashed at the box-office.

Bhushan's company T-Series strongly believes that the channel telecasting this trade analysis has engineered this exercise. The channel in question had to pay a huge amount of money to T-Series last year for copyright infringement.

Ajay Kapoor, Director T-Series said, "We had taken this channel to Court and they had to pay us a fine. Despite that they continued to flout rules, we again took legal action against them, the matter is freshly coming up for a hearing soon."

"We have stopped giving them software of all our songs. It's their loss," he added.

Last heard, T-Series had written to the Film & TV Producers Guild of India Limited complaining against the channel. In turn, the Business Head of the channel, Anurag Bedi, sent his reply to the Guild saying that his channel has not flouted the Copyright Act.

When contacted, Bedi told Mumbai Mirror, "Pray, why is Bhushan upset if he has already sold Ready? The distributors who have bought the film should be worried. Whatever we have stated in our trade analysis of Ready is purely factual.

T-Series has not done well as a producer on the films which we have mentioned, how can that be disputed when we are also showing the facts and figures supporting our report?"

Added Bedi, "We have not flouted any Copyright Act. T-Series wanted more, but as per the Court's order last year, we are still paying them the same money as before."

Caught between the two fighting bodies, the lead actor of the film, Salman Khan is mighty miffed. According to Kapoor, "Bhai (as Salman is fondly called in the industry) is upset. Usko pata hai kya ho raha hai. This whole negativity is really not done.

Ready is releasing on June 3. How can anybody cast doubts over its success three months before its release? Does it make any sense?"

Model Poonam Pandey, who grabbed headlines after declaring that she will strip in public if the Indian cricket team won the World Cup, will be among the 13 celebrity contestants in Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi -Torchar.
Apart from Pandey, actresses Aarti Chhabria and Kashmira Shah, Sambhavna Seth, former national women's cricket team skipper Anjum Chopra, TV stars Aashka Goradiya and Smita Bansal, are the other prominent names who will be seen in the fourth season of the reality show.

Models Diandra Soares and Aliesia Raut, Dina Singh, wife of Vindoo Dara Singh, VJ Bani, VJ Mia Uyeda and singer Mauli Dave will take part in the show, along with 13 men from various walks of life.
Actor Akshay Kumar, who had hosted the first two editions of the action-based programme, will return as the host for the fourth edition which will be shot in Cape Town in South Africa.
Actress Priyanka Chopra had hosted the previous season of Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi.
The show will be aired on Colors from May.
Making the announcement here this evening, Ashvini Yardy, head of programming Colors, said, "The fourth season is going to be more torturous and dangerous than the earlier ones. Hence the name Torchaar."
