CHENNAI: The health condition of superstarRajinikath is improving, say doctors at the intensive care unit of Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre where he was admitted on Sunday. The 61-year-old actor, who complained of breathlessness on Saturday, underwent dialysis after doctors found excess fluid in his blood. They also removed fluid accumulated in his chest.
Chief minister J Jayalalithaa spoke to the actor's wife Latha on phone and enquired about his health. A press release from the state government said Rajini had sent his wishes to Jayalalithaa on May 13 for her landslide victory in assembly the elections. After responding to his letter, she called Latha to wish Rajini a speedy recovery. Actor Sarat Kumar also met Rajini's family in the hospital on Friday.
A Dhanvanthi Homam' and Kanakabhishekam' along with special poojas were organised at the Raghavendra Temple in Triplicane by several hardcore fans of the superstar. The four hour event saw a large number of people participating.
